This is a rather nice little switching layout, but unlike most it has no offstage fiddle yard and has a displayed purpose. There are 8 cars and a few locos on the layout and each car has a picture card. The cards are shuffled, 5 cards are then extracted and placed on the shelf that can be seen here on the front of the layout, and the operator has to make up that train. This does mean the viewer can see that there is an aim in mind, rather than the operator just shuffling cars around which is all it might be otherwise. |
