Rockwood Junction (US, H0) 1

As a US modeller (currently) I always look out for these at shows, along with any other non-UK layouts. However, there can be a sameness about them, probably because US towns are relatively modern and often the railroad was there first, unlike most European rails which to a great extent had to fit in and around existing habitations. So operation needs to be good to make up for the slight lack of scenic interest.
Sadly this one did not cut it. Little was happening, and what did happen often seemed to be a mistake with trains coming half out of staging, then going back in on more than one occasion, or operators discussing what to do having got two trains nose to nose on the same track (despite the colour light signals).
