The decoder was a little too wide to fit horizontally in the shell. I removed the heatshrink (contrary to Soundtraxx instructions) and carefully (watching where the PCB tracks were) filed the edges of the circuit board until it was a snug fit in the bodyshell. Then I glued some of the heatshrink back on the main exposed metal parts to avoid short circuits. |
