The model comes with some rather nice and functional rubber tyres for fenders - they are nice and soft, not like the solid plastic one often gets that I feel will damage the boat.

These come with moulded holes for the fastening thread seen on the left here, but I felt they would hang and look better, and possibly be more prototypical, with holes in the tread. So it was out with the hole punch. I also made a hole at the bottom to allow water to drain out.
