The teeth of the plating were fixed by letting thin superglue run in and when this had set the trailing edge was epoxied to the existing hull. When that had set thoroughly various bits of plastic and the previously fitted sliced tube were glued in to provide a solid base for the final shaping. Plastic was also used to trim off the skeg, seen at the top here.

The space inside the plating was filled with squirty foam at this stage too.
