I hadn't intended to fit the bow thruster yet but other factors made it neccessary to do it now. Having noticed other people being caught out by tubes that were too short I checked the length of my Raboesch unit against its location - too short! I solved it by just moving it forward about an inch; in the picture the 'correct' position is shown by the blue X. It's a 22mm unit. I don't think this change will have any dire effects, aside from being rivet counted.

When filing the tube down after fixing I didn't want to take too much off. So I drew a line with a marker pen on the hull around the tubes (left pic) and then filed until the line was just disappearing (right pic), which told me when I was flush with the hull.
